The position starts as a part-time hourly paid position, working a 15-hour workweek.

PERSONAL TRAINER: Responsible for conducting individual, educational and safe fitness training protocols to a professional clientele with specific goals.

Back Bay Fitness is seeking an experienced fitness trainer to work in an exclusive upscale environment. We are looking for enthusiastic, professional and knowledgeable personal trainers to design safe, effective and fun programs for our clients. The ideal trainer understands the different needs of each of their clients and can work as a team player. They will evaluate the fitness level of each client and design programs to help them reach their fitness goals. The Back Bay Fitness personal trainer inspires and leads by example. The trainer is capable of developing rapport with a variety of different types of clients and feels very comfortable with working with professional males or females. The trainer successfully focuses on the individual goals of each client and has the ability to communicate and keep the client motivated to stay committed to the program and to obtaining the results. The trainer has a proven track record of achieving a high level of client satisfaction and easily develops a word of mouth referral program through clients. This trainer successfully continues to improve the quality of life in their clients and is passionate about fitness.

Some specific responsibilities of this role include:

Design one on one personal training programs for a variety of clients
Conduct fitness evaluations and assessments for clients
Participate and assist in new program development
Maintain records and communication with Fitness Manager on client progress and issues
Spend time developing strong relationships with clients in order to improve the client experiences and increase retention.
Attend and support activities for outreach programs
Develop and maintain continuing education
Attend individual weekly meetings with the Fitness Manager and attend a monthly career development meeting with the training staff

Some specific requirements include:

Current Professional Certification by Nationally recognized organization.
Bachelor of Science Degree (preferable), Major in: Physical Education, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology or related field.
Current CPR certification
Minimum of three years experience in related field working as a personal trainer
Desires long-term career opportunity in fitness industry
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate both male and female clients that are result driven.
